Rotary Club Dharamshala Hosts Tree Plantation Drive Near Sai Educare School

The Rotary Club of Dharamshala recently organized a successful tree plantation drive near Sai Educare School, located in Slate, Dharamshala. The initiative saw the participation of club members and distinguished guests, aiming to enhance the environment and promote the importance of sustainability.

Approximately 50 plants from various species were planted in the forest land surrounding the school, contributing significantly to the local green cover.

The event was graced by DGE (District Governor Elect) Rtn Anil Singhal, who served as the Chief Guest for the day. Mrs. Sonia Singhal, wife of the respected DGE, also joined in the plantation drive, emphasizing the significance of collective efforts for a healthier planet. The participants were not only involved in planting trees but also engaged in raising awareness about the long-term benefits of preserving nature.

In a special moment during the event, the Director of Sai Educare School was honored by the Chief Guest, Rtn Anil Singhal, who pinned him as an Honorary Member of the Rotary Club Dharamshala. This gesture was aimed at fostering closer ties between the Rotary Club and the local educational institution, reinforcing the shared values of service and community betterment.

Rotary Club Dharamshala President, Rtn Nandini Thapa, expressed her gratitude to all members who actively participated in the drive. Secretary Rtn Ajay Sharma, alongside other key members, also played an important role in organizing and overseeing the smooth execution of the project.

We are thrilled to have planted so many trees today, and we look forward to more such projects that can make a positive impact on our surroundings,” said President Rtn Nandini Thapa.
