Proud Moment for Palampur University!

Dr. Ankaj Thakur, Assistant Professor at CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, has been selected to represent India at the International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE) 2025 Congress in the Netherlands!
Recognized for his groundbreaking research on migratory Gaddi goat welfare, Dr. Thakur will attend the global event in Utrecht this August, supported by the prestigious International Travel Award from UFAW, UK.
His pioneering work—developing the world’s first structured welfare assessment protocol for migratory goats—highlights the resilience of transhumant livestock systems in the Himalayas.
Congratulations to Dr. Thakur and the entire university community! This global recognition puts Indian animal welfare science on the world map. You make India and Himachal proud!
