Rotary club Dharamshala today celebrated Independence Day in Surya Uday School for special children. President Rtn Nandini Thapa along with Rtn Nitika Jamwal, President Rotary Club Central Dharamshala hosted the flag. Rtn Ajay Sharma Secretary Rotary Club Dharamshala told that Children were given colour paints , brushes, Drawing copies , fruits , juices and biscuits. The tricolour was hoisted with pride by Rtn Nandini Thapa, President, Rotary Club Dharamshala, along with Rtn Nitika Jamwal, President, Rotary Club Central Dharamshala. The ceremony began with the national anthem sung in unison, filling the school premises with a deep sense of pride and unity.

Rtn Ajay Sharma, Secretary, Rotary Club Dharamshala, shared that the club aimed not only to celebrate the nation’s independence but also to bring joy to the children through thoughtful gifts and creative activities. The students were provided with colour paints, brushes, and drawing copies to encourage their artistic expression. In addition, packets of fresh fruits, juices, and biscuits were distributed, adding to the day’s cheer.

The Principal of Surya Uday School, Mrs. Anuradha, expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Rotary family for their kindness and efforts. She highlighted how such initiatives boost the morale of the children and help create an inclusive environment where they feel valued and loved.

The day concluded with lively interactions between the Rotary members and the children, who proudly displayed their drawings inspired by the tricolour and the freedom theme.
