A Leader of Values and Vision — Gopal Krishan Sood alias C2 (Seetu) 

The recent appointment of Mr. Gopal Krishan Sood as the Zonal Chairman of Rotary Zone Himachal-1 for the year 2025–26 is not just a recognition of his decades-long service, but also a tribute to a family legacy rooted deeply in compassion, community, and commitment.

A proud member of Rotary Club Palampur, Mr. Sood has spent over forty years dedicated to selfless service, quietly shaping lives and building trust within society. His life is an inspiring example of how service, when done with sincerity and humility, becomes leadership. Though a businessman by profession, Mr. Sood’s heart has always belonged to social work. His active involvement in Blood Bank Society Palampur as its long-time secretary, organizing countless blood donation camps and personally donating blood 45 times, speaks volumes about his character and resolve.

Beyond the blood bank, he continues to lead community ambulance services and supports critical healthcare efforts for patients in need. His calm presence, simple lifestyle, and approachable personality reflect the very essence of Rotary values.

What makes this achievement even more heartwarming is the legacy he carries. His father,  Shri Surinder Sood, ex MC never, was one of the founding members of Rotary Club Palampur—a visionary who believed in community-first values.

Mr. Gopal Sood not only followed in his father’s noble footsteps but also expanded their vision with tireless effort and modern outlook.

His mother’s nurturing values and his wife Mrs. Radha Sood’s active political and civic role—as former President of Palampur Municipal Council and current Municipal Corporation member—reflect how service runs in the family’s veins. Together, they represent a rare blend of dignity, humility, and public spirit that is often missing in today’s world.

Mr. Gopal Krishan Sood’s appointment has rightly been met with pride and celebration—not just within Palampur Rotary Club but across all of Himachal-1 Zone.

It is a moment of joy, but also a reminder that real leadership grows from the soil of good values, family teachings, and an unwavering desire to help others.
