With three ministerial positions currently vacant, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony to fill these positions are underway.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who recently returned from Delhi after holding talks with high-ranking officials, has reportedly obtained a green signal for the expansion.

Within the Congress party, there are discussions concerning the finalization of candidates for the vacant positions.

। Rajesh Dharamani, a senior legislator from Ghumarwin, and Yadavendra Goma, a legislator from Jaisinghpur of district Kangra, in Kangra district, have emerged as potential choices. However, the decision is still pending, and everyone awaits the final verdict.

The possible appointment of Rajesh Dharamani as a minister would result in the allocation of another minister from the Hamirpur parliamentary seat.

This has raised concerns about maintaining a balance within the Kangra parliamentary seat. Therefore, discussions are currently ongoing regarding these political possibilities.

It is also speculated that cabinet berths may also be given to  Legislators either Sudhir Sharma or Rajinder Rana .

In addition to the cabinet expansion, there is a possibility of inducting six legislators or leaders into boards and corporations.

The state planning board and various positions such as Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip could also be filled by the government. It is speculated that the high command has given its official approval to this arrangement during the Chief Minister’s recent visit to Delhi.
