D.A.V. Public School, Palampur organised its Annual Function (K.G. and Primary Wing) for the session 2025–26 on December 29, 2025, in the school premises.
The programme was held under the dynamic leadership and visionary guidance of the Principal, Dr. V. K. Yadav, whose meticulous planning and commitment ensured the grand success of the celebration.
Dr. (Mrs.) Rashmi Jamwal, ARO, DAV Public Schools, HP Zone–I, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Principals of various DAV Schools—Mr. Namit Sharma (Ambota), Mr. Surjeet Rana (Bharoli Nadaun), Mr. Vishwas Sharma (Dehra Gopipur), Mrs. Lata Thakur (Narwana Yol), Mr. Vinod Sharma (Ghumarwin), and Mr. Dinesh Kaushal (Manai)—attended the programme as special guests.
The presence of parents and grandparents further added to the joyous and memorable atmosphere.
The event began with the ceremonial welcome of the Chief Guest and presentation of a shawl as a mark of honour by Principal Dr. V. K. Yadav, followed by the lighting of the lamp. The programme opened with Saraswati Vandana.
More than 700 students from the KG & Primary Section, dressed in vibrant costumes, presented an array of cultural performances, including Bollywood, Pahari, Punjabi, and patriotic presentations, captivating the audience. The little ones also showcased Qawwali and thematic dances on relevant social issues such as mobile addiction and junk food.
The fourth-grade students’ powerful act, Operation Sindoor, received an overwhelming response from the gathering.
In her address, Chief Guest Dr. Rashmi Jamwal highly praised the efforts of the students and applauded the strong moral values reflected through each performance. She especially commended Principal Dr. V. K. Yadav for his exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and progressive vision, stating that his consistent efforts and keen involvement have elevated the school’s academic and cultural standards.
She acknowledged his role in uniting the staff, motivating students, and ensuring that the annual celebration becomes a remarkable and inspiring event every year. She also appreciated the teachers for their cooperation and contribution under the Principal’s guidance, which resulted in outstanding displays of talent and confidence.
Towards the conclusion of the programme, Principal Dr. V. K. Yadav expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, and all attendees, acknowledging their continuous support and encouragement.
