The Rotary Club of Palampur paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their life in the Kargil War. They offered flowers at the statues of Major Sudhir Walia, Major Somanath Sharma, Captain Vikram Batra, Captain Saurabh Kalia, and the War Memorial in Kalu Di Hatti, Maranda.


They also honoured Lieutenant Colonel Rajnish Parmar, Naik Ram Genotra, and Captain Vishal Bhandral.

The club members were led by the newly appointed President, Rishi Sangrai.
He was accompanied with former Rotary Governor Sunil Nagpal, former President Kapil Sood, Dr. Jatinder Pal, Manoj Kunwar, Vikas Vasudeva, Raghav Sharma, Rajit Chitra, and Subhash Jagota.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is a day to remember the victory in the Kargil War and honor the brave soldiers who fought till death. The Rotary Club’s gesture of offering flowers shows their respect and gratitude for the brave soldiers.

It is worth mentioning here that the Kargil War was a difficult and dangerous conflict.
The Indian Armed Forces showed great courage and determination in defeating the Pakistani forces. The bravery of the soldiers is still remembered today.
It is noteworthy here that newly appointed president of Rotary Palampur Rishi Sangrai is a young, dynamic, handsome, smart and an energetic leader.

He brings a fresh perspective to the Rotary Club and is always looking for new ways to improve the community.
